For those of you who knew me as “mishkan” on the CARM “discussion” forums, I just wanted to put out a small informational note.
I don’t think it is a surprise to anyone that Mod16 has been after me for quite some time, applying anything but a fair standard. Now, I have been suspended from CARM without recourse because my son signed up for an account. Imagine my surprise at finding I was breaking the rules by encouraging my teenage son to seek independent discussion on an allegedly Christian forum!
I find it quite interesting that there is no methodology in place allowing one to seek a redress of grievances. In fact, the act of seeking redress is deemed, in itself, a rules violation!
I believe the harsh treatment has been doled out to me because “Mod16″ is actually a poster who has been particularly “in my face” lately. She is angry because she can’t intimidate me in the normal threads, and so she has gone for the jugular. Removing me from CARM is the only way she can successfully shout me down.
I have given up on CARM as a place to find fellowship and reasonable discussion. It is designed to be a combat zone, and they have been successful in meeting that standard. I invite all my friends to continue discussions here on this blog, or in private email. If you don’t have my email address, just post a comment to this message, and I will get back to you.

Count me in. I am Ben David from CRAM. Mod16 just loves me. What do you mean suspended without recourse, i just talked to you today, didn;t I ?

I was referring to the fact that once one is suspended, there is no access provided whereby one can protest the action. You have to just wait out the punishment time. Yes, I am back now. But when the suspension was issued, there was nothing I could do about it.
My bigger problem is the fact that they make no provision for protesting the actions/decisions of the Mods. The very act of complaining constitutes another infraction!
