About Mishkan David

David Negley,
Founder of
Mishkan David
The owner of this site has recently ended a 25 year tenure as an elder at Emmanuel Messianic Jewish Congregation, near Baltimore, MD. During his time there, he served in a variety of roles, including audio/visual technician, Elder, and Education Director. He makes no claims to any unique insight or wisdom—there probably isn’t anything on this blog that you can’t find somewhere else. But it is his desire to participate in the discussion that helps define the Messianic Community.
The articles here will cover a variety of styles and formats, including Biblical commentaries, apologetics, and community issues. Some will be appropriate for Gentile readers, and others will be more easily understood by Jewish readers. But it is our goal to help inspire, educate, and motivate everyone as we all serve together in the Messianic Kingdom.
Whatever your starting point, you are invited to participate in the discussion, and share your insights with the rest of us.
I recommend that you get started by reading more about the meaning of “Mishkan David“.

David, I discovered your site this morning while looking for some Messianic articles surveying the book of Acts, you have plenty here on the subject! I would describe myself as a Lutheran by roots, evangelical by experience and for about 4 years a Messianic in practice though still involved with my wife at the Lutheran church locally. I would like to dialogue with you more via email, is that possible? Thanks. Reside in Michigan.
